USCIS reports that, as of August 7, approximately 44,900 H-1B cap-subject petitions have been received. USCIS will continue to accept H-1B cap petitions and advanced degree cap petitions until enough petitions have been received to reach the statutory limits of 65,000 (regular cap) and 20,000 (advanced US degree cap).
